184 Florida Health Insurance Policies written in last 6 months

Hello Everyone,
It’s been quite a few months since I’ve last posted… I’ve been very busy! The health insurance market in Florida is constantly changing, and I’ve been working diligently to stay informed with the new plan changes in 2010. I’d like to take this opportunity to give the public a glimpse into my business.. I am going to publish in detail, all companies and specific Florida health insurance plans I have written in the past 6 months..

Here are the trends I am seeing:
Several insurance companies have products with high deductibles and also have unlimited co-payments for doctor visits.. The cost of healthcare has continued to rise. Instead of increasing the new business premiums, all companies are introducing products with higher deductibles to keep new business pricing stable.
Blue Cross & Blue Shield still dominates statewide with their lower deductible plans with co-payments and with their family high deductible HSA policies. BCBS also has a unique product nobody can compete with: Their hospital/surgical plans are very inexpensive and cover up to $5,000,000.
Cigna is new to Florida, and is competing with all companies statewide. Prices seem to be much lower than anyone, and are taking a large part of the market share.
Humana in Palm Beach county has been a consistent price leader. Their 3500, 5000 and 6000 deductible plans with 6 co-payments for doctor visits are unique and very competitive statewide.
Vista recently introduced their new Z-Plans. These plans are great if you live in South Florida, and are very hard to compete with. If you live in Broward or Miami Dade, this might be the best product. The deductible is for hospitalization only, everything else is a co-payment. Vista finally got their act together, and pricing is more competitive than anyone.
I know all the above information is overwhelming and most of the information could be like a foreign language… but that’s why I’m here!! If you are feeling a bit frustrated or indecisive on what Florida health insurance plan to choose, call me. I can start a web-conference and explain any of the plans to you statewide.
I am available to help you find the best Florida health insurance policy for yourself and family. Please call me if you have any questions, 1-888-773-1181.
